Let’s Talk LD in Partnership with the Summit View Schools is proud to announce its 2019 College Planning and Transition Conference, one of the few college conferences in the nation that is designed specifically for students with Specific Learning Disabilities, AD/HD, and/or are who are on the Autism Spectrum. At our Conference, neurodiversity is celebrated and the most innovative Thought Leaders, Influencers and research in the area of Post-Secondary Education Transition are featured.

Topics and discussions will include, but not be limited to:
ï‚· college academic and disability support services, supports, and accommodations;

ï‚· the college search and application planning;
ï‚· the college application and admissions advice;
ï‚· assessing a good college fit;
ï‚· assistive technology and learning strategies to improve academic success;
ï‚· accommodations in college;
ï‚· accessing public, private, and community services to support college
transition, and;
ï‚· exploring what can be learned from current college students with disabilities

This year, our Conference will feature student-only sessions that are designed to address issues and topics that will be of specific interest to students and young adults. Keynote Speaker LeDerick Horne will offer a rousing presentation drawing from his own experiences as a neurodiverse individual who also uses his extraordinary gift as a dynamic spoken-word poet to advocate for all people with disabilities. The Conference will also feature our immensely popular Panel of successful college students and recent college graduates who are also neurodiverse who will discuss their respective college planning and transition journeys.

College transition influencers, thought leaders and experts will share their insights about college planning and transition best practices specifically for students with learning differences, their families, and allies.

The Conference is open to the public. We encourage students as early as 8th Graders up to young adults to please join us and to invite members of your family and those within your circle of support to also attend.  For updated information on the Conference, come back on July 8, 2019.  TO REGISTER FOR THE CONFERENCE, PLEASE CLICK HERE.
